AMSCA Endowment Award

In 2020, one application was received for the AMSCA Endowment Award. CPT Colin Casey applied for support for her dissertation research and defense during her final year of study for her Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition at the University of North Florida. The committee was pleased to award her $2000.

CPT Colin’s research will be focused on the determination of the best practices in diabetes medical nutrition therapy. She will be using registry data collected through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Informatics Infrastructure in her research and will be analyzing Nutrition Care Process terminology.

AMSCA Family Grant Program

AMSCA made its first Family Grant Program Award in 2020 to Nicole Gorczyca, for $500, to help her with your education expenses for the Fall 2020 semester. Nicole is a pre-nursing major at Sonoma State University, CA. She is MAJ (Ret) Cynthia Gorczyca's neice.  We wish her every success.
