Two AMSC officers attending graduate school pursuing their doctoral degrees applied for the endowment in 2018. Both were approved by the Committee and awarded $2000 each as requested.

MAJ Jennifer Mullins, a physical therapist, is attending the University of Kentucky and received the award to assist in her research. She is looking at the effects of dry needling on clinical and neurophysiological components of balance in individuals with chronic ankle instability due to previous ankle strains.

CPT Beatriz George, a dietitian studying at Michigan State University was given the award to assist in her research. She is investigating body image and eating behavior.
