MAJ Brenda Bostillos received the first Nannie Evans Scholarship, which was established to support clinical research, education and or special projects undertaken by a 65C/dietitian. MAJ Bostillos applied for funding for a research project to investigate food insecurity within the Active Duty members and their families as well how this population employs coping and resource management strategies. MAJ Bostillos is Chief Education and Research Branch, Department of Nutritional Medicine at BAMC.
Unfortunately, only one application for AMSCA scholarships was received for 2017, so no other scholarships were awarded.
