General Membership Meeting with Buffet Lunch: Includes Corp Office “State of the Corp” presentation and discussion of the AMSCA Oral History Project. NOTE: Be sure to have new military ID card on person to enter base.

WW I Memorial: Enjoy a Self-guided tour of the World War I Memorial which honors the 4.7 million Americans who served during the First World War and the 116,516 who made the supreme sacrifice in the Great War.
Time: 1330- 1430
Cost: Free
Location: Pershing Park, Across the street from the US Department of Treasury and the White House
Pentagon Memorial: This is a Self-guided Tour with an audio app available on site with your phone (approximately 40 minutes in length). Parking is tight or take the Metro (blue line) to the Pentagon. Either option will require about a 10-minute walk to the memorial.

Evening Social with Active Duty SP at Bunnyman Brewery and adjacent Workhouse: “Bunny Man” is a famous Northern Virginia urban legend about an ax-wielding figure in a rabbit suit. The Occoquan Workhouse, established by the District of Columbia in 1910, began as open-air agricultural camp and later a prison. Today, the transformed historic prison buildings are an active hub for arts and exhibitions. As the location for incarcerating suffragists, there is a small museum dedicated to these brave women.

National Museum of the United States Army: Arrive a 0900 for a brief museum overview and then tour the museum on your own based on your interests. No military ID needed.

1100-1230: Early lunch on own: suggest dining at the Army Museum Cafe OR the Mt Vernon General’s Canteen, both have Grab & Go options. Note: the driving time from the Museum to Mt Vernon is approximately 15 minutes.
Mt Vernon tour and Wreath Laying: Experience American history firsthand as you visit George Washington’s elegant Mount Vernon, on the banks of the Potomac River. Learn the stories behind the remarkable estate at the Orientation Center, then explore the manicured grounds, Museum and visit the 5-acre experimental farm; and see the reconstructed gristmill and distillery.
Time: 1230-1400: Guided AMSCA walking tour of house and grounds with wreath laying within the Tomb area
